Fortifi Bank Celebrates Power of Community Week with Green Lake Conservancy
Power of Community Week is a statewide effort led by the Wisconsin Bankers Association that brings banks across Wisconsin together for one purpose: serving the communities we call home. The 2026 campaign runs April 20 to 25 and marks the ninth annual Power of Community Week. Participating banks are encouraged to take part in service activities that show the impact Wisconsin’s banking industry has across the state.
For Fortifi Bank, that fits right into who we are. Growin’ Wisconsin means more than helping families, farms, and businesses with their finances. It means giving our time, talent, and resources to the places that make our communities worth growing in the first place. This year, Fortifi employees supported the Green Lake Conservancy, an all-volunteer nonprofit land trust working to protect the Green Lake watershed. Since 1995, the Conservancy has helped preserve special places throughout the area, including Tichora, Mitchell Glen, Norwegian Bay Wetlands, and Powell Springs.
These places do not stay protected by accident. They are protected because people choose to do the quiet, steady work of caring for them, and that work matters in Green Lake. It protects land. It protects water. It protects wildlife habitat. It protects the places where people hike, explore, learn, and reconnect with the outdoors. The Conservancy’s mission is to permanently and proactively protect special places, primarily in the Green Lake watershed and county, for the benefit of humans, plants, and wildlife.
During Power of Community Week, Fortifi team members volunteered at the Conservancy’s Powell Springs property. The work was hands-on, local, and exactly the kind of effort this week is meant to highlight. Fortifi employees also presented an FFF donation to the Green Lake Conservancy. The contribution came from employees and adds another layer to the week’s impact. Our team did not just show up with work gloves. They showed up with personal support for a cause that matters here.
Power of Community Week gives Wisconsin banks a moment to show some of the volunteer work we do all year long. Thank you to all of our employees for helping make this effort possible.
