Fortifi Bank – Growin’ Wisconsin since 1876.

Fortifi Bank Expands Into Ripon Market

Fortifi Bank announced Friday, February 15, that plans are underway to open a full-service bank location in Ripon, Wisconsin. The new branch is expected to open this summer and will be located at 125 Watson St. The triangular building, at the heart of the historic downtown district, was originally constructed as a bank in the late 1960’s.

“After careful evaluation, we determined that the exciting growth and revitalization happening in Ripon aligned with our bank’s mission to grow Wisconsin,” said President and CEO Eric Cerbins in a statement. “We are excited to become part of the community fabric and invest in the financial futures of Ripon citizens and businesses.”

Matt Lueptow has been named the Ripon Market President. Formerly of Horicon Bank, Lueptow joins the Fortifi team to build the bank’s presence in this community.  With more than 30 years of experience in business lending and a long-time Ripon resident, Lueptow brings a depth of knowledge and understanding that will translate to many benefits for clients.

He will be joined by his son, Eric Lueptow, as a Business Banking Relationship Manager. Kristen Hermanson, who has been with Fortifi since 2007, will be the interim Branch Manager.  The bank will be hiring additional personnel to fully staff the location.

“Fortifi Bank is known for a strong personal touch and for the advisory role we play for our customers – now we can expand that service to meet the needs of more individuals,” stated Matt Lueptow, Ripon Market President when asked what differentiates Fortifi Bank from others.

Fortifi Bank, with total assets of $420 million, has been servicing Wisconsin residents for more than 140 years.  This addition will expand Fortifi Bank’s branch network; now having nine locations spanning from Green Bay south to the Madison area.

Their line of retail financial services is highly competitive for today’s market. According to their website, Fortifi offers a free checking account that can earn 3.04% APY* on balances up to $25,000. A second checking account offers cash back on debit card purchases, helping consumers save more money each month.  Another option pairs a checking account with one of their premier KASASA Saver accounts and earns interest up to 10x the national average**.

Services offered at all bank locations include checking, savings, home loans, business lending, wealth management, private banking, and treasury management, among others. The bank offers a full suite of online and mobile services that consumers have grown to rely on.

“We are a community bank focused on the financial well-being of each client we serve while offering all the options and conveniences of a big bank,” stated Kristen Hermanson, branch manager.

Their growinwisconsin.org site features a library of financial resources ranging from how to budget and prepare for tax season to building a business plan and staying safe from phishing scams. In addition, they have a local business video series to encourage entrepreneurs to make the leap. You can find J’s BBQ of Ripon, Wisconsin telling the story of how and why they started their business. The bank states these stories are to inspire others to follow their dreams and another way to help grow Wisconsin.

Fortifi Bank has been Growin’ Wisconsin since 1876 – one person, one business, one relationship at a time. The bank’s eight other branches can be found in Berlin, Green Bay, Green Lake, Montello, Omro, Waunakee, Westfield, and Winneconne. Their full-service financial centers have been offering both personal and business clients with a portfolio of products and services that are designed with the client in mind. Local decision-making, community involvement, community ownership and a Board of Directors comprised of local citizens have been the driving successes of Fortifi Bank since inception.
