Fortifi Bank Finances Expansion for Exceptional Equestrians Facility in the Green Bay Area
Fortifi Bank is proud to support the continued growth of Exceptional Equestrians, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving lives through the healing power of horses. Through financing provided by Fortifi Business Banker Logan Madson, the organization is moving forward with an expansion project that will enhance its facility and allow the nonprofit to serve even more individuals and families in Northeast Wisconsin. Exceptional Equestrians was founded in 1999 and has spent more than 25 years helping participants build strength, confidence, communication skills, and independence through specialized programs such as hippotherapy and adaptive horsemanship.
Equine-assisted therapy has been shown to support physical development, emotional regulation, and communication skills for individuals facing a wide range of challenges, including autism spectrum disorders, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, and sensory processing conditions. By incorporating the natural movement of horses into therapy sessions, clinicians can help participants improve balance, coordination, strength, and confidence while building meaningful connections with both animals and people.
To meet growing demand and expand programming opportunities, the organization is undertaking a facility improvement and construction project that will significantly enhance its campus. The project will include expanded indoor therapy space and additional treatment areas designed to support occupational, physical, and mental health services. When complete, the improvements will allow Exceptional Equestrians to increase capacity, broaden partnerships with healthcare providers, and introduce new programs to serve additional participants, including veterans and families seeking equine-assisted therapy.
