Fortifi Bank Celebrates Eric Cerbins’ 45 Years in Banking
Berlin, WI – August 19, 2025 – Fortifi Bank proudly recognized Eric Cerbins for his 45 years of dedicated service to the banking industry with a special celebration held on August 19, 2025. Close friends, colleagues, and community members joined together to honor Eric, sharing stories and memories from his remarkable career.

Eric began his banking career in 1979 at Thorpe Finance before moving to 1st National Bank in 2005, where he served as Senior Loan Officer and Chief Credit Officer before being appointed President and CEO in 2017. Under his leadership, the bank transitioned from a nationally chartered bank to a state-chartered bank, adopting its new name: Fortifi Bank. Though he retired in 2020, he continues to serve as a First Berlin Bancorp board member. His 45-year career stands as a testament to resilience, leadership, and a steadfast commitment to community banking.
